A tribute to Ronke Shonde.

ronke shonde.jpg

Tell your side of the story.
Say something Ronke!!!

Defend yourself !!!

Everyone is talking about you.
While some are quick to judge you for not leaving, a few seem to understand.
Rumour has it that you committed adultery.
You still haven’t confirmed or denied it.
I will simply assume that you did.

What has adultery got to do with your murder anyway???
Has a law been enacted to that effect?
Is the consequence of adultery death?
Ahhhh !!!
I’m worried for fathers, husbands, brothers, bosses, sons and even spiritual leaders.
Is the same fate going to befall them?

I hope not …

I simply hope that the millions of women that you lie down today to represent will make the right decision whatever it may be …

I hope that your children come out of this strong…

I hope…

  1. This is one sad lesson, to all. Parents train up your sons well. Nigerian culture has gone overboard training the daughters and somewhere in the mix, have left the sons to find their way.

    1. Children should be trained as children irrespective of their sex. The bible says: train up a CHILD…It doesn’t say train up your DAUGHTERS…AS mothers, it is our responsibility to train our sons to be the kind of husbands that we prayed/sowed seeds/desired to have when we were single…May God help us!!

  2. Let see what the bible said about adultery;
    ” Whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding:he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul. A wound and dishonour shall he get;and his reproach shall not be wiped away. Jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance. He will not regard any ransom; neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts.” (proverb 6:32-35);
Also read proverb 7:1-27. I heard that the husband said she told him how she enjoyed herself with the other Man. That is when the rage came but deny killing her.
The issue is did she do it? Only God can tell.

    1. This is my Summary of this matter:

      And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery;
and when they had set her in the midst, 4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned:
but what sayest thou? 6 — This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him.
But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last:
and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman,
he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11 — She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her,
Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. Jn 8:3-11

  3. A very pathetic story.
Maybe she did commit adultery, maybe not.
Something must have pushed her. Even to do it and rub it in his face….
However anger or rage is no justification for what he did to her.
Christ rightly said “he that is without sin should cast the first stone…”
If it was the man, society expects her to forgive her husband and move on!!!
I think this should serve as a lesson to every woman, mother in an abusive relationship.
Do not keep quiet or stay in it because of your children.
Get good help while you can,
you may never live to tell the story.
What then happens to the children..?

    1. No one deserves to be in an abusive relationship.
I must add that there are men that go through this same plight.
However, with a man, he hides it because it is “shameful” as he will be considered as being weak…
The weak person is always the abuser.
      Thanks for your contribution.

  4. It is very important to marry a man that has God on his inside.
After all the heart of every man is in the hands of God…marry well.

  5. Thank AL…. going to church doesnt automatically translate to having the fear of God or loving God.
There is a pic I saw, ‘your position in church is not your relationship with God.
You can have a title and no real relationship with Jesus’.
Anyone in an abusive relationship should speak out!!!!
This cannot be over emphasized o!!!!
    Its well sha.
Maybe some people will learn from Ronke’s story,….
