If you went to visit a wealthy uncle and he gave you money.
Not just a bundle of it but BUNDLESSSSssss and informs you that you can always come for more.
Two or more things would happen:
- You would return with your favorite friends and family first.
- You would run wild and tell anyone that cares to hear how your fortune has changed.
- You could be discrete but your life style would definitely change.
Even when you decide not to spend a kobo of your wealth, your perspective of life would have changed.
This is the exact reason why the gospel of Christ increased and multiplied.
It was and still is FREE AND GOOD
As Jesus went around proclaiming the good news of God his father.
In Luke 4: 14, bible says that :
“Jesus returned in the power of the SPIRIT into Galilee:
and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about”
Just like Jesus, the wealthy uncle had what he gave. He had it abundantly.
And what he gave was good and thus it changed a life and then, lives.
The Gospel of Christ was sooooo good that on hearing the word from Jesus and receiving miracles, people ran off to inform their loved ones or may be not …
For those who did, it was an experiential evangelism.
They had to share their experience with someone. It was too good to be true.
The testimonies and experiences were so fascinating that the ripple effect is still on even up till today.
As we follow Christ, our experiences would be endless.
People will see us face challenges but most importantly, they will see us deal with our challenges with faith until we are victorious.
Our victories will spur us to tell others about the Christ life.
It will be our initiative to do it not just that of our local church.
We would tell those closest to us because they will understand our victories better.
They in turn will tell their close friends and because the testimony(ies) are astounding, the ripple effect will never stop.
Friends and family would seek after this Christ that makes all the difference in our lives and would follow Him as well.
Evangelism is more than passing out tracts or bibles to strangers.
Evangelism is our testimonies.
Evangelism is the life that we live, express and showcase through our experiences.
Evangelism is the Christ in us that people see.
